RFID/NFC tags in wood or PVC give you electronic access control in your own design. Whether you want to use tags or cards as access cards, payment methods or business cards, you get a practical and flexible solution. RFID tags are often used as an add-on to access wristbands for electronic access control or as a payment solution at festivals.
Design your own RFID cards
A wooden tag has a premium, warm appearance with a tactile surface that guests can feel in their hands. The textured finish gives your brand a professional expression and helps create a strong sense of quality. Combine the wooden tag with
bamboo festival wristbands or
linen festival wristbands for a consistent access wristband solution.
If you prefer a tag with bold colours and a more festive look, you can be creative with a PVC plate. We print in full-colour digital print, and the plates can be made square, round or in freeform shapes to match the style of your event.
Cards, tags and plates for many purposes
At Label Yourself, our customers use cards with NFC chips for many different purposes. Below are a few examples of how NFC tags can be used:
Cards with NFC chips for gyms
Customers can use the card with an NFC chip as both an access card and a payment method. This means the gym does not need to keep cash on site, and members can buy a cold bottle of water, an energy drink or similar products whether the gym is staffed or not.
Loyalty cards
Many shops, especially retail chains, offer membership cards and loyalty cards to their customers. With a loyalty card containing an NFC chip, the shop can quickly read the customer’s card and provide personalised offers and benefits.
Cards for charging stations
Cards with NFC chips are also used for electric vehicle charging stations. The vehicle owner typically has a subscription that is activated when the NFC chip is held up to the charging station. You can also find
charging tokens at Label Yourself. The customer may also have a payment card linked to the account, so they only pay for the charging they use.
Business cards with NFC chips
A business card with NFC works by holding the card up to a mobile phone with an NFC reader. Once the phone has read the card, the contact details can be saved directly on the phone. Most smartphones are equipped with an NFC reader.
Cards with RFID chips
The most popular RFID chips among our customers are Mifare Classic 1K and Mifare UL C.
Custom wristbands for access control
When you want to buy wristbands with RFID chips, you have plenty of options for creating a tailored access control solution. You can choose the type of wristband you prefer, whether that is a classic woven festival wristband, an rPET wristband, a silicone wristband or something else entirely. We will be happy to help you find the right setup.
