Race numbers on paper wristbands are a practical choice for races, sports meets, competitions and events where participants need to be identified quickly. The number sits directly on the wrist, so it will not get lost like a loose ticket, note or label. This makes distribution at check-in simpler and makes it easier for volunteers, officials and staff to find the right participant during the event.
This format can be used as participant ID, a race number, group division or access marking. At fun runs, the numbers can be linked to the participant list. For school events and activity days, colours can be used for teams, classes or heats. For competitions, the wristband can make it quicker to register attendance, hand out materials or check who belongs to which category. The main advantage is that the number and marking stay with the participant throughout.
To work well in practice, the number should be printed large and with clear contrast. If the wristbands are to be used with a participant list, the number range, order and any categories should be checked carefully before printing. The wristband is made from a paper-like Tyvek material that is lightweight to wear during activity and resistant to normal use at events.
We have several customers who use the Tyvek wristbands to divide participants into different starting groups. This ensures that all runners, walkers or cyclists do not start at the same time. You can also use them as
printed marking bands.
